Rahane says he copied Sachin Tendulkar's technique while growing up

Ajinkya Rahane said he modelled his batting on Sachin Tendulkar when he was young. Steve Waugh asked him during a conversation whether he had earned as much money as Tendulkar.

Rahane recalled that he tried to copy Tendulkar's technique as a junior cricketer. He said the approach helped him develop his game in Mumbai's domestic circuit.

The exchange surfaced during Rahane's appearance on a broadcast panel. Tendulkar remains the benchmark for Mumbai batters who followed him into the India side.
