Shafali Verma scored 64 off 40 balls as India defeated Bangladesh by 40 runs in the Women's Asia Cup 2026 semi-final at Dubai International Cricket Stadium. India posted 149 for 6 after Shafali added a 50-run stand with Pratika Rawal following early wickets. Deepti Sharma took 3 for 26 to restrict Bangladesh to 109 for 7 in their chase.
Bangladesh never established momentum and fell well short of the target despite reaching double figures in the first 10 overs. India reached their tenth consecutive Asia Cup final and will face the winner of Pakistan versus Sri Lanka on September 13. The result extends India's unbeaten run in the tournament.
Both teams struggled with their fielding throughout the match. India dropped four chances during the semi-final but still prevailed comfortably over Bangladesh.
