Shami takes 2 for 42 in East Zone's Duleep Trophy win

Mohammed Shami took 2 for 42 in South Zone's first innings during East Zone's Duleep Trophy final win in Chennai. The 36-year-old marked his 100th first-class match with a title-winning performance on a flat Chepauk track.

Shami relied on discipline and reverse swing to break through on a surface offering little assistance to pace. He said he remains motivated and is still eyeing the next level in his career despite his long absence from the India side.
