Sri Lanka name Meepage to replace Vihanga for Women's T20 Asia Cup

Sri Lanka Cricket named Meepage as a replacement for Vihanga in the squad for the Women's T20 Asia Cup. Vihanga sustained a right-knee injury during a practice match and did not travel to the UAE for the tournament.

The Asia Cup will be held across venues in the United Arab Emirates. Sri Lanka Cricket confirmed the change after assessing Vihanga's fitness ahead of the opening match.

Meepage joins the squad with limited prior international experience. Sri Lanka will open their campaign against the hosts in Dubai next week.
