Sunil Gavaskar accuses ICC of double standards on short Tests
Sunil Gavaskar criticised the ICC for remaining silent on abbreviated Test matches in Australia while sanctioning similar outcomes on subcontinent pitches. He said the disparity undermines the board’s credibility on playing conditions.
Gavaskar pointed to recent instances where matches ended inside three days without official comment. He contrasted this with past fines imposed on grounds in India and Sri Lanka for comparable results.
The former India captain called for uniform application of standards regardless of host nation. The ICC has not yet responded to the remarks.
