Wasim Jaffer questions Rinku Singh's omission from Afghanistan T20Is
Jaffer criticised Rinku's exclusion despite his World Cup pedigree and recent form.
Former India batter Wasim Jaffer questioned India's decision to leave Rinku Singh out of the squad for the three-match T20I series against Afghanistan. He said the exclusion lacked a clear reason.
Eight players have been dropped from the T20I squad for the series that begins in Delhi on September 13. Rinku had featured in India's 2026 T20 World Cup-winning squad.
Jaffer argued that recent performances should have kept Rinku in the frame for the finisher's role. The selectors have not publicly explained the omission.
