Andre Russell takes two wickets in Eliminator as Jamaica Kingsmen advance

Andre Russell's early strikes helped Jamaica Kingsmen reach Qualifier 2 in CPL Eliminator.

Andre Russell struck twice in his opening two overs as Jamaica Kingsmen bowled out Barbados Tridents for 145 in the CPL 2026 Eliminator in Bridgetown on September 16. Russell finished his first spell with figures of two for nine.

Russell dismissed Kevlon Anderson and Zachary Carter before struggling in the death overs and limping off with an injury concern. Jamaica Kingsmen chased the target with nine wickets and 15 balls to spare.

Skipper Rovman Powell confirmed after the match that Russell was fit to bat if required. Jamaica Kingsmen will face the loser of Qualifier 1 between Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and Guyana Amazon Warriors in Qualifier 2.
