Nick Kelly ruled out of Leicestershire finale with rib injury

Nick Kelly won't play Leicestershire's last County Championship game against Warwickshire. The 33-year-old picked up the rib injury during the win over Hampshire last week.

He made 86 in that second innings and then scored 103 in Sunday's One-Day Cup final at Trent Bridge. The injury cuts short his season just as Leicestershire head to Edgbaston needing a win to stay up.

Leicestershire brought him in for the rest of 2026. The club posted on X that he'd already written himself into Foxes history in a short space of time.

The story so far
  1. Leicestershire chase 334 with Kelly and Cox's 158-run stand, four days after losing 27 points for a poor pitch.
