PCB bars Rizwan from public statement on NCCIA probe
Rizwan denied two requests to speak publicly; Lahore court dismissed his petition.
Pakistan wicketkeeper-batter Mohammad Rizwan has twice sought PCB permission to address the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency inquiry into him and Imam-ul-Haq, and both requests were rejected, according to Geo News. The probe centres on mobile-phone data and possible financial dealings.
Rizwan wrote to the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit seeking procedural clarity and later challenged the NCCIA notices in the Lahore High Court, which dismissed the petition. Clause 4.1 of his central contract requires board approval before public comment on contract matters.
The PCB is awaiting the outcome of the NCCIA investigation before deciding on further action against the two players.
