'Wanted to Win Medal at Asian Games, Denied Selection' — Rashid Khan

Rashid Khan told NDTV he wanted a medal at the Asian Games but Afghanistan left him out. The disappointment is personal, he said — he wanted to wear the colours at a multi-sport event.

He's in India now for three T20Is against the hosts. Rashid is tweaking his lines to handle the new power hitters — Abhishek Sharma and Vaibhav Sooryavanshi among them.

Afghanistan still haven't won a major ICC title. The talent is there, Rashid said, but plans keep slipping under pressure.
