Rohit Sharma made 92 in India's third ODI against West Indies at New Chandigarh on Saturday, falling eight runs short of his 36th ODI century. He reached the landmark of 10,000 ODI runs as an opener during the innings, becoming the fastest player to the mark in 202 innings.

Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli fell inside the first three overs with only four runs on the board. Rohit added a 137-run third-wicket stand with Ruturaj Gaikwad before both batters were dismissed in quick succession.

KL Rahul and Naman Dhir then added an unbeaten half-century stand to lift India to 351 for seven. India had already secured the series 2-1 before the final match.
