Ashish Nehra says Shubman Gill is a work in progress as captain

Gujarat Titans head coach Ashish Nehra described Shubman Gill as a reserved leader who is still learning the captaincy role. Nehra said Gill will improve with experience and is open to feedback.

Nehra contrasted Gill's style with Hardik Pandya's more outspoken approach, noting that both have different strengths. He added that Gill remains a keen learner despite his quiet demeanour.

Gill will lead Gujarat Titans in IPL 2027 under Nehra's continued guidance.
