Court rejects Rizwan petition; PCB to decide on disciplinary action

Lahore High Court dismisses Rizwan petition; NCCIA forensic findings due next week before PCB decides on disciplinary measures.

The Lahore High Court dismissed Mohammad Rizwan's petition challenging notices issued by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency. Chief Justice Aalia Neelum advised Rizwan to respond directly to the NCCIA notice during Thursday's hearing.

Rizwan's lawyer told the court that his client was interrogated without proper notice after the Lord's Test and his mobile phone was confiscated. The lawyer argued the ICC Anti-Corruption Unit is the appropriate forum for such matters.

The NCCIA is conducting forensic examination of mobile phones taken from Rizwan and Imam-ul-Haq. The agency will submit its findings to the Pakistan Cricket Board by next week, after which the PCB will determine any disciplinary action.
