Rashid Khan praises Vaibhav Sooryavanshi's fearless approach at 15

Afghanistan spinner Rashid Khan has highlighted the qualities that set 15-year-old Vaibhav Sooryavanshi apart from other young players. Khan pointed to the Rajasthan Royals batter's shot selection, game awareness and natural power as qualities that usually develop over time rather than appear at such a young age. Sooryavanshi has already played a key role in carrying Rajasthan Royals into the IPL 2026 playoffs.

Khan compared his own development to Sooryavanshi's rise and noted the Indian batter's ability to hit big sixes and perform on major stages at 15. The Afghanistan all-rounder said Sooryavanshi backs his skills and knows his game plan against any side or bowler. Khan added that the power and hand-eye coordination the teenager displays are rare traits.

Sooryavanshi burst onto the IPL scene in late 2025 and produced a standout knock in the Under-19 World Cup final before his IPL 2026 season confirmed his rapid rise. Khan described him as a god-gifted talent who has shown his ability beyond the IPL.
