Sri Lanka chased 430 to beat England by two wickets on the penultimate ball in the ODI tri-series at Gaddafi Stadium, Lahore. England were eliminated after suffering their third consecutive defeat.
Harry Brook scored 202, an England record in ODIs. Sam Curran conceded 103 runs from nine overs, the worst ODI figures by an England bowler. England also lost to Pakistan by 87 runs earlier in the tri-series.
Pakistan beat Sri Lanka by eight wickets in the other match, confirming the final between Pakistan and Sri Lanka in Lahore. England must now beat both Pakistan and Sri Lanka in their remaining matches to reach the final, a scenario that requires wins in both games.
