Lungi Ngidi ruled out of Australia ODI series with hamstring injury
Lungi Ngidi is out of South Africa’s ODI series against Australia with a right hamstring injury and has been replaced by Nqobani Mokoena.
South Africa fast bowler Lungi Ngidi has been ruled out of the three-match ODI series against Australia starting on 24 September due to a right hamstring injury. Ngidi sustained the injury during a domestic first-class match and will undergo rehabilitation. Nqobani Mokoena, who made his ODI debut against Namibia, replaces him in the squad. Ngidi’s availability for the subsequent Test series against Australia will be assessed closer to the start of that tour on 9 October.
