England tell Brydon Carse to work through issues after Derby incident

England dropped Brydon Carse from Sri Lanka squads over an off-field incident.

England omitted Brydon Carse from their white-ball squads to face Sri Lanka after the fast bowler was told to work through off-field issues. Carse, 31, is being investigated by the Cricket Regulator following a late-night incident outside a bar in Derby last month.

The seamer was briefly arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly while celebrating a County Championship win. The ECB said the decision to exclude him was not a prejudgment of the ongoing investigation.

Carse remains available for selection but will miss the upcoming Sri Lanka series. The England and Wales Cricket Board has previously left him out of Test squads since the Derby episode.
