Shubman Gill scored the fastest double century in ODI history, reaching 200 off 117 balls, as India chased down 406 against West Indies in Guwahati. The captain finished unbeaten on 223 off 133 balls to lead India to an eight-wicket victory with 39 balls remaining.

Rohit Sharma made 101 off 75 balls in an opening stand of 255, the second-highest for India in a successful chase. Rohit reached 12,000 ODI runs during the innings, becoming only the third Indian after Sachin Tendulkar and Virat Kohli to reach the milestone.

West Indies posted 405 for seven with centuries from John Campbell, Shai Hope and Amir Jangoo. The total was their highest in ODI cricket. India's chase surpassed their previous record of 360 against Australia in 2013 and sealed the series with one match remaining.
