Tilak Varma: 'If you stay till the end, we can win'

Tilak Varma said he told Gautam Gambhir and Sitanshu Kotak before the match that he'd bat through if the team needed him. The conversations helped him stay calm when India chased 181.

He was 51 not out from 26 balls after India fell to 112 for six. Nitish Kumar Reddy stayed with him through an unbroken 69-run stand, and they finished the job with one ball left.

India lead the series 2-0. The third match is in Wellington on October 27.
